Book Review #19 ~ “The Burning God” by R. F. Kuang

This book is probably the best finale to a series that I have ever read. “The Burning God” is the last book in the Poppy War Trilogy by R. F. Kuang, and it was so amazing.

It amazes me how intricate the world that R. F. Kuang created became throughout the trilogy. It is so astonishing that this was also written while the author was a teen to when she was in her early twenties. I loved the writing and all the magical components in this book. I also admire how these books made me both love and hate the main characters. Also, I LOVED the ending. I’m not going to say what it is since it’s an obvious spoiler, but I’m so glad I read a book where this actually happened at the end.

I rated this book 4.75/5 stars and DEFINITELY recommend it and the trilogy as a whole. This was my 89th book of 2025. See you soon, xx Autumn.
